BRET PERRY,
FARR X2

Bret has devoted himself to all things
yachting for the best part of 25 years.

Bret has devoted himself to all things yachting for the best part of 25 years.

Having managed Sydney 38’s, Farr 40’s and other bigger boat campaigns the move to Europe was inevitable.

He was working as a rig and rigging technician for the Americas Cup in 2007 and the Volvo Ocean Race for 2008/2009.

The introduction to the Mini 650 fleet in France is probably the most pivotable point in his career.

He was a Project Manager for the RG 650 project with 14 boats sold and sailing today. In this time the shorthanded sailing market snapped into gear and having worked closely with Farr Yacht Design over the years the stars aligned he obtained the Farr Yachts Australasia license and the Farr X2 was born. A result of a passion for sailing and the need for performance the Farr X2 is truly where ‘Passion meets Performance’

Vicsail have over 30 years of
history in the sailing industry.

Our company leads the market with knowledge and experience in both new and used boats. Our involvement covers – the marketing, the sales, the importation, and ongoing management.

We offer expertise to cover all aspects of owning a boat.

The Vicsail advantage is based on knowledge, experience but most importantly passion.  We are ambassadors for many of the worlds most recognised brands like CNB, Sunreef, Eagle Yachts, CMY and Nautor’s Swan.

International Yacht Builders know and trust Vicsail to manage and represent their interests.

A new and exciting involvement for Vicsail, is with the all-new Farr X2. The most exciting growth for sail-boat racing is with shorthanded racing, and at the very forefront is the all new FarrX2 – this exciting new yacht is well represented by David and Brendan of Vicsail, in partnership with Bret Perry of Farr yachts Australasia.

Brendan, CEO of Vicsail, Brendan lives for sailing and he is very dedicated to his work.

He is also an artistic soul: a musician, poet and a painter and he believes that there is good in all people, but especially the lovers of boats. His passion for ocean adventure, was introduced first from his librarian mother, but sailing runs deep in his history, back to his convict ancestors. In 1987 Brendan competed in the very first Melbourne-Osaka two handed race. These days Brendan is the owner of two boats: a beautiful traditional motor cruiser and a GL Watson sloop from 1893 which was his built for his great grandfather. The Sailing industry is growing all the time, he believes that shorthanded sailing is the future- that’s why Brendan is fully committed to the Farr X2 project.

David, he is our Sales Director, and let me tell you something- this guy knows what he wants out of life! Passion for sailing is in his family for generations. David is carrying on the tradition and sharing his love for sailing with his wife and kids. David studied Naval Architecture and competed a boat building apprenticeship at McConaghy Boats. After over 20 years of project management and racing professionally around the world, he is an ideal candidate to promote the Farr X2.
